Used by ophthalmologists for more than 10 years, Botox® is available at our Manhattan or Long Island facility as a non-surgical wrinkle therapy that relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles, reducing the appearance of frown lines, laugh lines, forehead wrinkles, and crow's feet. Small amounts of Botox® may be injected into the muscle in just minutes to decrease lines and elevate the brows, providing a more youthful, relaxed look to the face.
Surpassing breast augmentation in popularity, Botox® is a toxin that blocks nerve impulses, causing the muscle into which it is injected to become paralyzed temporarily. Botox® injections give the skin an immediate smooth appearance. The procedure only lasts about 15 minutes and can be performed at our Long Island and Manhattan offices, however the cosmetic effects of Botox® do not last. Patients generally come in every four to six months to receive a new Botox® injection.
Restylane® is also offered at our Long Island and Manhattan offices. Made in Sweden, Restylane® has been used since 1996 to fill out lips, facial wrinkles and facial folds. A long-lasting clear gel containing hyaluronic acid, Restylane® works with your body's hyaluronic acid to plump up volume. Injected into the skin to fill in designated problem areas by the experienced Jon Turk, M.D., Restylane® provides immediate results, and is available here in our Long Island and Manhattan offices.
The Restylane® procedure takes less than a half hour, and gives patients instantaneous results. Restylane® wrinkle treatment can last from six to 12 months, while the Restylane® lip injections last about six months. Radiesse™, formerly known as Radiance, is an excellent option for filling deeper facial wrinkles, folds, and depressions. Comprised of Hydroxy-Appetite, a naturally occurring mineral in the body, Radiesse™ lasts from one to two years and is safe and reliable.

The latest technologies in laser treatments that offer safe and accurate elimination of facial flaws are available for skin rejuvenation through laser resurfacing at our Long Island and Manhattan offices. Used to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles, sun damage, acne or other facial scars, and an array of skin growths and blemishes, laser resurfacing uses intense beams of light to soften or remove skin cells and wrinkles, leaving new skin and fresh collagen.
Laser resurfacing uses beams of laser energy to vaporize the top layers of damaged skin. The laser resurfacing procedure can be performed at our Manhattan and Long Island facility, and usually takes a few minutes to an hour and a half. Patients will see a reduction in lines, and a more even, fresh skin tone following the laser resurfacing treatment. It generally takes patients a couple of weeks to heal from laser resurfacing depending on how much skin was removed, and pink skin is apparent for one to three months.
Laser resurfacing is performed in our Manhattan and Long Island offices on an outpatient basis, often under local anesthesia.
