Fractora™
The Fractora device delivers fractionated radiofrequency energy to the skin to resurface, tighten and rejuvenate the face. Fractora differs from Fraxel in several ways. The gentler, less intense, radiofrequency energy does not cause pigment problems, scarring or weeks of down time and can be used on individual areas of the face. It is also the only device designed specifically to safely resurface the skin of the neck. Typically, treatments take around 40 minutes to an hour and are performed as a series over 3 months. Down time is consistently 2-3 days. Alternatively, a single, higher energy treatment, can be performed by Dr. Turk with a light sedation anesthesia and a slightly longer healing period. In either case the skin of the neck and face becomes tighter, smoother and more elastic and the results last for years.
Lumecca™
Lumecca is a state of the art IPL (intense pulsed light) device that targets red and brown pigment on the skin. Photo-aging of the face, neck and chest can be rapidly and painlessly treated with minimal down time and incredible results. Freckles, macules, broken blood vessels and other pigment issues can be addressed in 1 or 2 sessions.
Collagen P.I.N.™
The Collagen P.I.N.™ (Percutaneous Induction Needling) is an electronic micro-needling device with controlled depth of penetration that improves skin texture and tone. This treatment triggers new collagen and elastin, which smooths fine wrinkles, shrinks pores and softens acne scars. Collagen P.I.N.™ acts much the same way a fraxel laser does, but without the downtime or complications.
BioFacial
“Biofacial” is a term coined by Dr. Jon B. Turk to describe full face collagen stimulation through the infusion of Selphyl® via the Dermapen. The Dermapen is a revolutionary fractional skin micro-needling device. It allows us to have full control over the administration of Selphyl® while promoting a more even absorption of the filler. Our aesthesicians will use the Dermapen to distribute Selphyl® throughout the face, promoting the growth of new collagen and leading to healthier, fuller, younger-looking skin.
Injectables of all types are available to rejuvenate the facial skin. Dr. Turk is a particular advocate of the Biofacial because it combines two of the most important and beneficial recent advances in skin therapy: Selphyl® and the Dermapen. About Emilia K. - Director of Skin Care
Emilia K. is a certified medical aesthetician with 15 years of experience in the medical cosmetic community. She has worked with plastic surgeons in Florida and Manhattan and was on the staff of Bliss Spa for 10 years. Emilia is known for her expert facials, peels and depigmenting masks. She is one of the most experienced users of the Edge HydraFacial System and is on their advisory and teaching board. More recently, Emilia was trained as part of the luminary program for the Forma non-invasive skin tightening system and is one of the country's most experienced technicians in this technology. Emilia was named one of the ten best aestheticians in New York City by Allure magazine and practices in Manhattan and Woodbury, Long Island.
About Irena W. - Aesthetician
Irena joined the practice after 10 years of experience as a licensed aesthetician in New York City. She is a graduate of the Christine Valmy International School with expertise in electronic micro-needling, HydraFacials and various skin peeling techniques. More recently, Irena has focused on the use of various medical grade devices for non-invasive skin rejuvenation such as Lumecca photo-facial, Fractora resurfacing and Forma skin tightening and has received advanced training in this growing field.
