Over the course of his career, Manhattan facial plastic surgeon Jon B. Turk has been at the forefront of developments in plastic surgery. He is continually furthering his knowledge in the field and being trained in new techniques and procedures, integrating only the most promising advancements into his practice. If a new technology is developed to make the patient experience safer and more comfortable, while still producing results up to his high standards, you can bet that Dr. Turk is either actively investigating it or counting himself among the first in New York to offer it.

Currently, Dr. Turk is one of only a few plastic surgeons in New York City to offer treatment with a new FDA-approved dermal filler, BELOTERO BALANCE®. At his practice in Manhattan, BELOTERO BALANCE® thoroughly rejuvenates the face with minimal downtime or risk of side effects.

Is BELOTERO BALANCE® right for you? There’s only one way to find out. Contact Dr. Jon B. Turk at his Manhattan facial plastic surgery practice today to schedule a confidential, one-on-one consultation.

How Does BELOTERO BALANCE® Work?

As we age, the hyaluronic acid that is naturally present in the skin begins to diminish. This contributes to the development of fine lines, facial skin folds, and looseness of the skin. BELOTERO BALANCE® is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler; when injected into wrinkles and skin depressions, it restores the lost hyaluronic acid and volume. BELOTERO BALANCE® injections evenly integrate into the tissues to plump up the skin, smooth out wrinkles, and minimize skin laxity.

How is BELOTERO BALANCE® Different from Other Dermal Fillers?

BELOTERO BALANCE® is similar to other hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers such as Restylane® and JUVEDERM®. However, BELOTERO BALANCE® is unique in that the filler material is a thinner consistency; this makes it well suited for use on fine lines. For our patients in New York, injectables such as Restylane® and JUVEDERM® may still be recommended for deeper and more prominent facial wrinkles, but BELOTERO BALANCE® is the treatment of choice for fine lines.

What Side Effects Are Associated with BELOTERO BALANCE®?

Compared to facial plastic surgery or laser skin resurfacing, BELOTERO BALANCE® results in minimal side effects. Patients may experience swelling and bruising at the injection site. In the majority of cases, these side effects subside quickly, within a day or two. For many patients, these side effects are so mild that they are hardly noticeable by patients.

How Long Does it Take for Results to Take Effect?

The results of BELOTERO BALANCE® injections are seen immediately. However, the best and final results may not be apparent until all side effects have faded, usually within two days to a week after treatment.

How Long Will Results Last?

BELOTERO BALANCE® has been shown to last for about six months in patients.

To find out if BELOTERO BALANCE® injections are right for you, schedule a consultation at the Manhattan plastic surgery practice of Jon Turk, MD. Our staff will schedule your appointment at your earliest convenience. We look forward to meeting with you.
